THE STORY
A Devoted Servant
Maryam (AS) grew up in the temple, praying day and night. Angels visited her and said, “Allah has chosen you above all women!” (Quran 3:42). She spent her time worshipping Allah and helping others.
The Miracle of Provisions
Whenever Maryam (AS) prayed, Allah sent her fresh fruits out of season! Her guardian, Prophet Zakariyah (AS), was amazed. She said, “Allah provides for whoever trusts Him.”
The Birth of Isa (AS)
One day, Angel Jibreel (AS) appeared and said, “Allah gives you glad tidings of a son named Isa!” Though scared, Maryam (AS) relied on Allah. When people accused her, baby Isa (AS) spoke from her arms: “I am a servant of Allah!” (Quran 19:30).

“And mention in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.” (Quran 19:16-17)
