Prophet Yunus (AS) and the Whale
A story of patience and trust in Allah.
Allah sent Prophet Yunus (AS) to Nineveh, a bustling city with towering markets and busy streets. But the people had forgotten Allah’s laws—they lied, cheated, and ignored the poor. For years, Yunus (AS) reminded them to worship Allah alone, but they laughed at him.

✨ Location: Nineveh (modern-day Iraq).
✨ Challenge: People rejected Allah’s message.
✨ Lesson: Never give up on guiding others.
Feeling disheartened, Yunus (AS) left Nineveh without Allah’s command. As he sailed away, a fierce storm struck! The crew drew lots to decide who to throw overboard—Yunus (AS) lost. Though terrified, he jumped into the raging sea, trusting Allah’s plan.
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
“Then the whale swallowed him, and he was blameworthy.”
(Quran 37:142)

🌟 Allah’s Tests: The storm was a trial to strengthen Yunus (AS)’s faith.
🌟 Trust in Hard Times: Even when things go wrong, Allah has a greater plan!
Inside the whale’s dark belly, Yunus (AS) felt lonely and regretful. But he remembered Allah’s mercy and prayed sincerely:
“لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ”
“There is no god but You! Glory be to You! I have done wrong!” (Quran 21:87)
Allah, the Most Merciful, heard his prayer. He commanded the whale to swim to the shore and gently spit Yunus (AS) onto dry land. Weak but grateful, Yunus (AS) returned to Nineveh—and this time, his people listened! They apologized, prayed to Allah, and became righteous believers.
